DBH 3, An invention

THE TELEVISION
The television or TV was the work of many individuals in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. But the development was interrupted in the Second World War. Nowadays almost everyone has a TV at home.
The first television was invented in San Francisco on Sept. 7, 1927.but it only transmitted a line.RCA, the company that dominated the radio business in the United States invested 50 million Dollars in the television.By 1937 they could transmit image and they transmitted the first baseball game.+Then in 1949 nAmerican started to transmit programs in black and white .The number of television sets in use rose from 6,000 in 1946 to some 12 million by 1951. No new invention entered American homes faster than black and white television , by 1955 half of all U.S. homes had one.Eventually in 1964 they could transmit images in colour by a system called CBS.
By1980 people could record and replay the images.1997 was made the first HD TV this means high definition.

With the development of the television we can see what we want when we want. Also is one of the most used inventions.

Sewing Machine
At this time all companies and people who sew often have a sewing machine. People have been sewing for years, however, the machine did not exist until the 18th century.

Before there were sewing machines people sewed by hand. This way was slower and it was more work. In 1755 a German named Charles Fredrick Wiesenthal patented the first sewing machine. It was as simple as a double-pointed needle with a buttonhole at the end. Eventually, in 1851 Isaac Merritt Singer patented and developed a machine that could sew 900 stitches per minute. Finally, in 1889 Singer produced the first electric sewing machine, with an Edison electric motor.
With the development of the sewing machine, it become more popular. At last, people could use a sewing machine that was faster, efficient and safe.

X-ray

This invention cannot be missing in any of the hospitals: x-rays. X-ray is used to see things through other things. This invention was accidentally discovered in 1895 by the physicist Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen. In the past, doctors didn´t know what was really happening to them, and thanks to this invention, you can see the exact and precise injury. This invention has been very useful for all these 2 previous centuries and for me it has been one of the best inventions that have been created in history.

The Oven
An oven is a thermally insulated chamber used for the heatingbaking, or drying of a substance and most commonly used for cooking. It is practically impossible to say that the oven hasn't revolutionized and to ease the modern kitchen. You can prepare some types of foods more easily, such as;pizza,desserts..

Before the oven was created we must go back to 29.000 BC.The first oven it was used for roasting and boiling pits inside yurts used to cook mammoth. It was made of stone and you needed coal.By the 17th century Stewart Oberlin created an oven made of iron.Eventually in the 19th the electric ovens were created.

Finally, nowadays is a very useful instrument in the kitchen and it wasn't an instrument that pollute much.

AUTOMOBILE
Nowadays, millions of people use automobiles in order to get from one place to another, or to even transport objects. Although people have been moving from one place to another for years, the car wasn't entirely used until the 18th century.

Before the car was invented, people had to use horses and carts in order to move in a faster way and to transport things. Then, Joseph Cugnot, a French engineer, designed and fabricated the self propelled car, a reserved car for military use, which was built in 1771. By 1833, Eilhard Mitscherlich suggested using gasoline since he discovered that it could be a perfect combustible for the automobile. Thanks to Eilhard's idea, eventually, Carl Benz invented the first automobile (how we know it nowadays) which consisted of three wheels and gasoline propulsion. Finally, Henry Ford decided to get involved in the automobile business in 1890, thus creating one of the most famous and successful automobile brands ever (Ford) and producing some of the best cars of the entire world.

With the development of technology over the years, more and more companies have developed better cars and more and more people use them. At last, people can move from one place to another in a more efficient and safe way.

We all have light bulbs in every house. It is now a very typical invention that we see everywhere and that serves a lot of help. The light bulb gives us the opportunity to see when it gets dark and to make a dark corner have light. We don't pay much attention to it, but thanks to that we can see now better than beforeas they saw before, with  no light, no electricity, and no bells.

Before the light bulb was invented, the first thing that was used as lighting was fire. Then with the help of fire and wax, candles were invented. This is what we now use normally to smell good. They  invented oil lamps in 1780 that it didn't  give much light but enough to see a little. In 1813 the first gas lamp was invented. But you had to be very careful because they could explote easily.
Finally only about 120 years ago the electric light or chin was invented thanks to Thomas Edison in New York

Nowaday our lifestyle would be completely different without mobile phones. In fact, kids and many teenagers don't know how a life without mobile phones can be and many adults can't imagine going back in time and living without a mobile phone in their lives.

Before the mobile phone was invented, people communicated by writing letters or going to a person's house and shouting. By 1983, Motorola created the first mobile phone ever, which was an incredible revolution in technology, but it was very big, not even hand size. Then, in 1992, Motorola improved the model and made it hand size, which was also a revolution in technology and comfortability. After that, Nokia also made many phones but, in 1996, Motorola created the first clamshell phone, which was even smaller than before when closed, and everyone loved it. Eventually, in 1999, Samsung released a mobile phone model which was capable of listening to MP3 music. After that, Nokia kept including new models that included different features like colour screen, GPS access, touch screen... and another company appeared: HTC. This company included keyboards in the phones. Finally, in 2007, Apple created the first smartphone ever. Is the model that every phone that we have nowadays have followed, and it was a complete success and revolution.

The phones we have nowadays make our lives much easier to communicate, to calculate anything in maths, to don't get lost, to translate or look for the meaning of words... I think it is imprescindible nowadays.

AEROPLANE
The concept of the aeroplane has only been around for two centuries. Before that time, people tried to navigate the air by imitating the birds.

First, they built machines with flapping wings. It seemed like a good plan, but the trouble was that it worked better at bird scale than it did at the much larger scale. It needed to lift both a man and a machine off the ground but the aeroplane couldn't do that. Then in 1783, some aeronauts made flights in lighter than air balloons, filled with hot air or hydrogen gas. But this wasn´t either a practical way to fly. Finally, by the 19th century, an English baronet conceived a flying machine with fixed wings, a propulsion system, and movable control surfaces.

Nowadays, the aeroplane has changed the lives of people all over the world because people can travel long distances in a little time with the aeroplane.

ANDER
   THE MRI

In every hospital, nowadays, you can see an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) which is used to create detailed images of the organs and tissues within the body. Since its invention, doctors and researchers continue to refine MRI techniques to assist in medical procedures and research.

During the year 1946, Felix Bloch and Edward Purcell independently discovered the magnetic resonance phenomena  and were later awarded the Nobel Prize in 1954. Until the 1970s, MRI was being used for chemical and physical analysis. Then, in 1971 Raymond Damadian showed that nuclear magnetic relaxation times of tissues and tumors differed motivating scientists to use MRI to study disease. Many scientists over the next 20 years developed MRI into the technology that we now know today. Finally, MRI examination did not occur until 1977.

Since then, faster computing has made the MRI process much faster.
