DBH 4 students tell us about their favourite works of art in our Town. Check it out!
My favourite work of art is called Don Tello. It’s an statue you can see at the Plaza de
los fueros, in the center of Gernika-Lumo.
The statue carries in his right hand a sword resting on the groundand in the left hand is the document containing the Charter of the Village. It is about a block of marbel. It is made of marble and bronze.
I like this statue because I remember that I lived in the street called Don Tello and also because it’s very good strusctred.

My favourite work of art is called Maria Meta. It like brick cave is installation in square. The art was created by the artist Jon Iturriarte Artola.
The work art is made of brick The artist had a very artistic thought for their creations this is one of his thoughts: I think in the sculptures of Chillida and Moore and I think the environment of praises, I think if any of these works is found encased in a block like this its urbanized brightness, or your creative genius, would overlap, and I think almost anyone would feel that way about it.
I wanted people to see your thinking in each sculpture was a way to thank their hospitality and friendship
The work art you can show in square in the street Iñigo Lopez de haro.
I think the work of art is interesting reminds me of medieval art I like it

My favourite work of art is called El Peine del viento. It’s an metal sculpture with the € form, more or less. El Peine del viento was designed by Eduardo Txillida Juantegi, who was very famous in Basque.
The work of art is placed in Donostia, Spain.
It was made by a very strong metal, which is used to do.. the bridges support, for example. It is very interesting.
I really like it because it is old, is nice and has something strange in it...

As Everybody can see, this is the type of copied writing between two students. These pupils think they can send the same writing with different order and that the teacher is so busy to notice it. They both have 2 negative points for copying.
ASTELEHENA JAI
Astelehena jai it's an sculpture created by the Basque artist Eduardo Gordo. It's situated in front of market square.
The artist (Eduardo Gordo) want to show “the conjunction between the human and the earth.” This sculpture is made of iron blocks and culminate in a recess of stone, like a handle. By using different types of local stone, sandstone, marble Ereño red, black marble of St. Euphemia of Aulestia, create links and is rooted to the spot.
I don't like “Astelehena jai” because it's a silly sculpture that is cover wiht dirt and they do not clean it.
